Okun people need Okun state--- Chief Abereoran

The National President of the Okun People's Front, Chief Ben Ayo Abereoran has said that the Okun people are in need of Okun state.
Speaking in Lokoja while addressing newsmen, he mentioned that since they are from West they are not suppose to belong to Kogi state adding that they are going to participate in the forth coming National Conference and one of their agenda is the creation of Okun state.
According to him, the Okun people are in the need of a state as they are enough to form a state noting that they are in total support of the National Conference but advised that Okun people should be allow to make a choice of those to represent them and at the same time stop government not to choose representative for them.
He called on President Goodluck Jonathan to allow the conference to see the light of the day by not using government machineries to hand pick people to speak in favor of government interest.
