Gov Wada set up committee to look into Merginalisation in Kogi

The Deputy Governor of Kogi state Architect Yomi Awoniyi has been appointed to head a committee to look into the various areas of oppression raised by Okun speaking people from Kogi West. 

The Governor of Kogi state, Captain Idris Wada made this known when Okun Development Association led by the former Minister of Health, Dr. Eyitayo Lambo and other prominent people from the area paid him a courtesy called on Tuesday. at Government House Lokoja.
Captain Wada noted that all segments of the state irrespective of tribe, religion and political differences would be carried along under his administration in terms of shearing of available resources and top government positions in the state.

He stressed that his dream is on how to turn around the living condition of the people of the state for the better and urged the various ethnic groups in the state to join hands with his administration's effort to move the state to where it ought to be.

Captain Wada emphasized equity, honesty and transparency in the running of the state affairs would not be compromised in the face of all odds as he thanked the Association for its show of solidarity and support to his administration.

Earlier, the spoke person of the group Professor Eyitayo Lambo former Minister for Health in his address commended the transformation agenda of the governor which he described as very much on course for actualization.

He appealed to the governor to look into various issues that they have raised saying that much need to be done for the people of Kogi West.
