Group describes, calls for fresh election in Kogi state as a show of shame, demonstration of ignorance and mischief.

We are aware of a clamor by a disgruntle group by the name Justice and Good Governance in kogi state led by one Umar Goodman Akwu  and One Sunday Ayodele whose identity is not verifiable. Calling for another fresh election while the incumbent governor tenure has notexpired. This is travesty of justice and open expression of ignorance of the ethic of democracy.

Integrity watch Nigeria want to remind the good  people of Nigeria & Kogi state in particular that before January 27, 2012 supreme  court judgment “ Kogi state had a duly elected Governor in the person of His Excellency Governor Idris Ichala Wada .Thus, for any person or group of persons to ignore these fact, is ignorance arising from illiteracy, half education or outright mischief. This deficiency should not be condone in our enlighten democratic society. Anyattempt by this so called Akwu group to undermine  the supreme court judgment of 21,2014 that validated and affirmed the authenticity of Wada mandate will be resisted. To question the legality of Wada Governorship by comparing it with Bayelsa , Adamawa ,Cross river shows that this group is far from reality and events of Kogi politics. We therefore, humbly drawing their attention to the facts that Kogi has a peculiar  case comparing with the above mentioned states as Kogi has conducted an election that made Wada a substantive Governor before the supreme court ruling that ordered immediate vacation of Gov Ibrahim Idris and others. Therefore, for any groupfunded, by one man who thinks he must be  Governor by force is laughable and funny . 

We therefore want to make it known to their principal that sponsoring some youth with the purpose of misinforming and inciting public against a democratic elected government of Kogi state is offensive, frivolous, provocative and vexatious and should be discarded in that manner.We are of the strong view, that this group is out to do only one thing in Kogi state that is to cause chaos, enthrone anarchy and to make the state ungovernable.  These shall resisted by the good people of Kogi State & Nigerians in general. Democracy has comes to stay in Nigeria and inKogi state, no amount of mischief can change this fact.

Mr Akwu and his cohorts should also be reminded that INEC is not a court of law, neither canhis group force or intimidate INEC into conducting another election is as good as asking INEC to disobey an order of the Supreme court of Nigeria.

We herein issue a  strong warning to this disgruntled elements,  by whatever name so called to desist from this path of dishonour and mischief, else they will meet with a strong resistance from the good citizens of Kogi state, who are true democrats. The facts of this matter is known to all kogite, Nigerians & Nigerians Diaspora. Let nobody be confused or mistaken about the facts that Capt. Idris Wada is the democratically elected Governor of Kogi state and his 1st tenure in office remains as provided in the constitution of Nigeria and electoral act as amended .

Anything that goes wrong amounting to violence, destruction of life and properties, this so called group should be ready to account for the scene.
