The Member representing, Okene-Ogori/Magongo federal constituency of Kogi in the National Assembly, Hon. Yusuf Ahmed Tijani has advocated stronger tie between the electorates and political office holders to guarantee peace and political stability.
The federal lawmaker who was speaking in Okene, noted that his intention to organize the Legislative week was aimed at giving the people the much desired dividends of democracy
He stressed the need for politicians, particularly the elected ones to always engage the electorates, this he said will help to build the peoples confidence in the system.
Speaking further he said the activities lined up for the legislative week tagged "First Legislative Week in Nigeria" includes, free medical care, distribution of soft loans and machinery to some women and artisans, agricultural inputs among other activities.
Tijani added that during the one week programmed which is schedule to start today, his team will visit some selected farm centers and also kick start ICT training for some youths in his constituency.
"We are also going to visit some farm centers to see what they are doing and find ways of assisting them. The youths will also be assisted through ICT training to reduce unemployment and youths restiveness"

He called on the people to take advantage of this initiative which according to him will now be a regular feature to improve their living standards.
