Kogi agricultural transformation on track-Okino

The chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, (ALGON), Kogi state, Aloysious Okino has said that the Agricultural transformation of the state government is 
already making the desired positive impact in the rural areas 

The chairman stated this yesterday while declaring open a one day sensitization and mobilization workshop on Youths and women engagement in the transformation programme of Governor Idris Wada.
Okino who is also the chairman of Ajaokuta Local Government, said with the systematic implementation of the agricultural programme has helped in the generating of massive employment across the state.

According to him the local areas are the direct beneficiaries of the programmes of the state government, saying that youths restiveness has been drastically reduced.

While expressing optimism that the programmes are sustainable, he enjoined
The state government not to be distracted.

Speaking during the occasion, the Special Adviser to the governor on Agro-Allied, stressed the need for effective and constructive engagement of women and youths in the state.

He said that the formation of youths and women groups through the cooperative approach remains the hallmark of sustainable growth and development of any regional formation.

He called on the people of Kogi state to continue to give the government the needed support, saying that it is the only way to guarantee effective service delivery to the populace.
