SHINTAKUN BRIDGE TO COST N50 BILLION NAIRA.

Kogi state government has expresses williness with a private film WALCOTT LImited to construct a bridge across the conference of River Niger and Benue to Shintakun or Gbobe in Kogi East at the cost of N40 to N50 billion naira.
Governor Idris Wada gave the indication when he received a team from the firm at Government House Lokoja.
Captain Wada said the bridge was significant in view of the need to e land Lokoja the city capital within the 16 Kilometers radios as provided by Law.
He mentioned that the bridge of emerge benefit to the state and urged the firm to look into the economic benefits in founding the project as government does not have the resources to do it alone.
He assured them necessary support in making the project a reality as he promised to look into the technical aspect of the collaboration.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Christopher Eza in his speech said the visit was inactuallisation of the governor's dream to build a bridge across the conference of River Niger and Benue about a year ago.
He said the firm has put together a consortium of banks that will fund the project which will cost between N45 to N50 billion naira with the state contributing nothing.
He added that the construction period will be between 30 to 36 months stressing that the company has also considered a bypass along the bridge.
He also disclosed that they will collet tole gate for 30 years which would be share between the government and the firm for 30 years.
Also speaking a director of the company Senator Baba Teller said the 1.8 Killometer bridge when completed will have six lances and would be on a build , operate and transfer arrangement.
