We would continue to support FG, Kogi development drive- ALGON

The chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria,(ALGON), Kogi state,  Aloysius Okino, has said that the council chairmen in Kogi state would continue to support any programme of government aimed at bringing succour to the people.

The chairman who while praising President Goodluck Jonathan, on the recent commissioning of the National Integrated Power Project,(NIPP), 434MW Geregu 11 power station,  stressed that the commitment of the president to the transformation of all sectors of the economy must be supported by all Nigerians.



The chairman who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Ibrahim Obansa maintained that since the driving force of any economy, is power, the commissioning of the second phase of the power plant is an indication of better days ahead.

The whose local government, Ajaokuta hosted the multi billion naira project noted that the success of the project can be attributed to the focused determination of the federal government to bring power to the door steps of all Nigerians.

He commended the prudent management of the resources of the nation, through adequate budgetary allocations to the project and effective monitoring mechanism which he said was responsible for the success story.

He called on all Nigerians particularly Kogi indigens to continue to support the transformation agenda of the president and governor Idris Wada, saying that the quest for a better Nigeria is the responsibility of all the citizenry.

Okino commended the effort of the Kogi state Governor, Capt. Idris Wada towards the realization of the laudable project by the federal and  his support for all federal government projects in the state.

He promised the continued support of the host communities, in providing a peaceful environment, so as to continue to attract more federal government presence to the state.
