Nigeria's U17 team had a closed door training Sunday morning at the practice pitch of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain ahead of the UAE 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup second round duel with Iran on Tuesday.
The Eaglets effortlessly zoomed to the last 16 of the competition after they topped Group F with 7 points from three matches. Iran came second in Group E with 5 points from the same number of matches, pipped to the top spot by Argentina.
A close source informed Goal that the technical crew decided to close the build-up session from the the media and the public so as to allow the team time to finalise the tactics and the preferred strategy ahead of the Iran clash.
The source revealed, however, that the final training session on Monday would be made public to both journalists and the public.
The Eaglets are aiming for a fourth title to add up the ones they won on Asian soil in 1985, 1993 and 2007 in China, Japan and the Korea Republic respectively.
Meanwhile the team arrived back in Al Ain yesterday after the 5-0 demolition of Iraq in the final group match played in Dubai on Friday.
