Re: Obasanjo 18-page letter - Whining a loser
3 AGUIYI STREET ONITSHA, ANAMBRA STATE
13 December 2013
PRESS RELEASE
Dear Sir,
Re: Obasanjo 18-page letter - Whining a loser
It is unfortunate that a former president of Nigeria that we have so much respect and hold in high regards has disappointed the entire nation of Nigeria by displaying symptoms of a political loser, who whines, complains, boils and does nothing to change the situation.
What is wrong if President Goodluck Jonathan chooses to exercise his constitutional and God’s given right by running for a second term in office in the purview of a former president that attempted a failed unconstitutional third term bid?

Full Text of Obasanjo’s Letter To President Jonathan Before It Is Too Late
I am constrained to make this an open letter to you for a number of reasons. One, the current situation and consequent possible outcome dictate that I should, before the door closes on reason and promotion of national interest, alert you to the danger that may be lurking in the corner. Two, none of the four or more letters that I have written to you in the past two years or so has elicited an acknowledgement nor any response.

The Mistake Of Rotimi Amaechi And Nigeria’s Contemporary Writing
By Paul T. Liam
Speaking at the third Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu Literary Colloquium in Minna Niger State, the Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, before an audience of academics, writers, politicians and students alleged that Nigeria’s contemporary writers have paid little attention to the current social, cultural and political issues that have seized the polity. For a Governor who has done so much for literature and the creative industry, careless comment such as this open and uncalculated assertion speaks in volume of what his purported interest in books and the writing industry is. Or could it just be a Freudian slip?

Opinion: Oshiomole: Demystifying Governors' Olympian Image
By Tope Adaramola
Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole has not ceased to attract the fancy of many people since his hey days as an iconoclastic labour leader. As an activist, Oshiomole projected the picture of a gadfly, especially to the ruling class, but that of a savior of some sort to suppressed masses or the downtrodden. Expectations were that the erstwhile labour leader will turn coat 360 degrees on becoming a state governor, with all the enthralling pecks and allure of office, like many of his ilks. Surprisingly, this has been proved wrong as the Comrade Governor still carries on as his normal self, despite the surrounding protocol of statecraft.

Enough of the Shenanigans; Let Nyako Go!
By John Ainofenokhai
Not many people realise these days the manner in which the governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, was railroaded as the gubernatorial candidate of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in his state in 2007. The retired Rear Admiral was in his farm when his former boss in the military, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, sent for him. There was minor disagreement over the gubernatorial primaries in Adamawa. Nyako did not “participate” in the primary election just like his colleague, Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu of Niger state. But both were handed the party flags in their respective states by Obasanjo under the guise of party supremacy against the dictates of democracy, fair play and justice.

Anambra Gubernatorial election PDP candidate get more support
At the suspension of my campaign, I thought of a candidate that will further the vision that I strongly believed in, I had it also in mind that an election occurring on Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwes birthday needed a result that will have some sort of respect for the sage.
