I will give equal opportunity to all citizens----Captain Wada

The Kogi State Governor, Capt. Idris Wada has further reiterated his determination to give equal opportunity to all citizens of the state and create enabling condition that would boost human development.

The governor gave the assurance while speaking at the Grand Finale and Prize presentation to winners of his Academic Excellence Competition organized for both Secondary and Undergraduate categories in the state.

Wada who said that his administration will not relent in ensuring quality education of all levels of training further stressed that the essence of the academic competition was to promote the performance of students at external examinations. The governor noted that the Quiz competition organized for Secondary School students and the Essay contests for the undergraduates would also broaden their knowledge and exposition.

The participants at the competition, Wada said, were drawn from the 21 Local Government Areas of the State as a way of promoting justice and fair play in the system.

He congratulated the winners of the competition, stressing that prizes given was to encourage hard work and seriousness amongst the students at all levels of education.

The governor used the forum to admonish students at all levels to shun examination malpractices and cultism and focus on their studies to have a better tomorrow.

Idah Local Government took first position followed by Ogori and Kabba-Bunu Local Government Areas. 

The governor presented a cheque of N150,000 plus a laptop to the first position, N120,000 and N100,000 to the second and third positions respectively.
