Professor Festus Iyaye is dead


A renown Professor from University of Ibadan is dead. He died along Lokoja-Abuja road early hours of today Tuesday on a castly  motor accident which involved the last Pilot escort convoy of the Kogi state Governor, Captain Idris Wada and a bus that the late Professor was traveling on.

Sources at the scene of the accident disclosed that it was a head on collusion which happened at Banda very close to Koton-Karfi. According to the source the said bus in an attempt to dodged a pot hole a ram into the coming last Pilot escort vehicle in the Governor's convoy.

It was equally gathered that the late Professor and so e other lecturers were on their way to Kano for ASSU's meeting.

Four other persons sustained injury including the driver of the Governor's Pilot vehicle. The Government House Ambulance evacuated the victims to the Specialist Hospital Lokoja for immediate medical attention while corps of the late Professor was also deposited in the Morgue of the same hospital.

Meanwhile, the Kogi state governor, Captain Idris Wada has called for full scale investigation on the accident.

Captain Wada who paid visit to the injured people at the State SpeciList hospital sympathized with the victims and their families. He wished the deceased a peaceful repose of his soul.
