Kogi State Government Press release

KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT.
                         PRESS RELEASE.

Kogi state government has dissolved the management of Kogi United Football club as well as the Confluence Queens FC.
Accordingly,  Mallam Abdul Adama, currently a Special Adviser on Public Private Partnership (PPP)  to Capt. Idris Wada, governor of Kogi State, has been appointed as Sole Administrator to oversee the affairs of both clubs.
These developments take immediate effect, according to a statement in Lokoja by Jacob Edi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy.
According to the Media Adviser, the dissolution became necessary in order to inject life into the two teams for better performance. 


The Governor, Capt.  Idris Wada,  according to the statement  further directed the state Ministry of Sports to take proper inventory of the two clubs and hand over to the new Sole Administrator immediately.
He charged the new helmsman to evolve a better strategic approach to turn around the fortunes of the two teams by institutionalizing a sustainable structure that will make the two teams the pride of the state in sports and youth development.
Mallam Abdul Adama founded  Bukola babes FC (now ABS FC), a team he propelled from Amateur to Premiership stage.  He was also the clubs pioneer chairman.
The Governor, Capt Wada reiterated his determination  to uplift  sports in the state and urged the people of the state to continue to support the two clubs.
