Prominent Urhobo leaders in Abuja and Northern Nigeria on Sunday
described Delta Central Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) Senatorial
Candidate, Chief Ede Dafinone as a beacon of hope and a great source
of inspiration.
“What is at stake in Delta Central is to vote for the right candidate
who will rekindle hope for the progress and development of the Urhobo
nation. Chief Ede Dafinone is a very intelligent man, a great
visionary, an achiever, a man of action and above all, a humble,
kind, God fearing and compassionate man” Leader of Urhobo Think Tank,
Engineer Enunuaye Akporotu told journalists Sunday.
Rising from an emergency meeting in Abuja, the leaders commended
Dafinone for his contributions to the search for peace, unity and
progress for the people of Urhobo.
“At this time when a new direction is needed for the Urhobo nation,
Chief Ede Dafinone possesses the experience, vision, political wisdom,
courage and humility needed for the important task”.
The leaders commended Chief Dafinone for his impartiality and
benevolence to all, stressing his achievements in the private sector.
“He is ready to and will do it better in the public sector” the leaders said.
They urged the Urhobo people to give their massive support and elect
him in the next Delta Central Senatorial Bye Election.
“Chief Ede Dafinone is a very humble, down to earth man and accessible
to all. He is a team player and will build a new and strong bridge of
prosperity and dignity for Urhobo.
“We believe that voting Dafinone is the best interest of Urhobo”
The leaders who also thanked Chief Great Ogboru for his role in
resolving the conflict that emanated from the party’s primaries,
appealed to Richard Odibo, Napoleon Gbinijie and Abel Oharume to work
with Dafinone in view of ensuring victory for the party.
