Joe Abraham's elevation as SAN is a honor----Awoniyi


The Kogi State Deputy Governor,Yomi Awoniyi has described the Senior Advocate of Nigeria rank conferred on Joe Abraham,the State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General as a honor in recognition of his hard work and commitment to the legal profession over the years.
The Deputy Governor made the remarks shortly after a special session of the Supreme Court of Nigeria to mark the beginning of new legal year as well as conferment of the rank of Senior Advocates of Nigeria on some lawyers in Nigeria,including Joe Abraham,the state Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State.
Awoniyi described the recipient as one who has remained a worthy ambassador of the State. 
In a statement issued in Lokoja, Awoniyi,said Bar Joe Abraham has remained a symbol of integrity,industry and enterprise in the discharge of his legal duties as a lawyer,said the rank of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria conferred on him was well deserved and should encourage younger lawyers that hard work and sincerity to professional purpose pays.
While noting that the exalted rank of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria conferred on Joe Abraham and others should serve as a consolation for steadfastness in a highly Professional Nigerian Bar Association,Awoniyi said it should also aid in the quality dispensation of justice in the country.
Also speaking,Prince Alex Obaje,a frontline politician and PDP stalwart in the state described the elevation of Joe Abraham as commendable adding that he has made the state proud.
Prince Obaje added that the elevation did not come as a surprise in view of the recipients track record through effective administration of justice in the State.
Also speaking,a former House of Assembly Member Representing Omala Constituency,Alhaji Ademu Mohammed said the elevation of Joe Abraham could not have come at a better time when viewed against the background of his exemplary contribution to the legal profession in the country.
In her remarks,Justice A. M. Mukhtar,while administering the oath to the promoted SAN, congratulated the recipients,urged members of the Bar to strive for a excellence as the work collectively with the Bench for quick delivery of justice.
In his response, Joe Abraham said the elevation will spur him to be committed to providing quality justice delivery,thanked the Kogi State Government for the encouragement and support.
