The coming on board of an Ebira-based Radio Station, Tao FM, has been described as a catalyst that would speed up socio-economic development in the area.
Chairman of Okehi Local Government Council, Alh. Hassan Yusuf, stated this in a statement at Obangede, Headquarters of the LGA.
He said that the establishment of the Radio Station attested to the fact that the dire quest for peace and harmony in Ebiraland was yielding positive results.
While the Chairman congratulated the brains behind the station, he urged well-to-do indigenes of the area to emulate such positive gesture and bring developments to Ebiraland.
Alh. Yusuf promised to patronise the Radio outfit and to partner with it to project the good image of Ebiraland.
Ina another development, the chairman has been commended for giving priority attention to the provision of social amenities in Okuhapa community in the Local Government Area.
A delegation from the community, led by Mr. Musa Ibrahim gave the commendation in Obangede when they visited the Chairman.
The community noted with satisfaction, the provision of electric transformer for them, which they said had stopped the incessant power outage in their area, and facilitated uninterrupted potable water supply to the people.
Responding, the chairman appreciated the delegation’s visit and pledged that he would always work for the interest of the people.
