The State Deputy Governor, who represented Capt. Idris Wada, made the disclosure at a State Dinner
organized for the Full Gospel Business men’s Fellowship International,
who are in the State for the 2013 Lokoja Regional Convention.
Yomi Awoniyi, described Government’s
attention to the production of rice and cassava as key in the Agric
transformation agenda of the Capt. Wada’s administration,
added that Government’s seriousness to reposition Agriculture has
attracted the signing of eleven memoranda of understanding (MoU) with
foreign investors in the production of rice and cassava.
The State Deputy Governor called on the
Businessmen to acquaint themselves with the State abundant historical
and tourist sites, that are all undergoing renovation,
disclosed that as the nation celebrates its hundred years of existence,
Lokoja the Kogi State capital occupies a vital place in the centenary
celebration.
While commending the fellowship for the work they have done in the State, Awoniyi lauded their sense of partnership in elevating the States infrastructures.
The Deputy Governor described as heartwarming seeing businessmen also
partaking in the business of God, wished them fruitful deliberation
while in the State.
Earlier in his remarks, the National
President of Full Gospel Business men’s Fellowship International, Arc.
Ifeanyi Odede, said the Regional Convention will focus on teaching, business seminars, workshops and rallies, described the convention as a positive turning point for the State.
Arc. Odede commended the developmental strides of the Capt. Wada’s administration, assured of the fellowship’s continuous partnership.
