Kogi state government to electrifies 300 communities

300 communities across the three Senatorial Districts made up of 21 local government councils in Kogi state are to benefit from the rural electrification project embark upon by the Kogi state government.

The Kogi state Governor, Captain Idris Wada made this known at Elubi  in Dekina local government council while flagging off massive Rural Electrification Project across the state.

He mentioned that 10 communities from each of the 21 local government councils will benefit from the project adding his administration has taken major step to ensure the success of his transformation agenda.

Captain Wada opined that electrification is one of the cardinal objective of government adding that many communities will be connected under this scheme.

He therefore urged the communities to continue to be supportive of government by embarking on self help projects.

Earlier, the Chairman of Dekina local government council, Comrade Muhammed Ali commended the governor for his transformation agenda.

He said that electrification of communities across the state would definitely improve socio-economic lives of the people as he assured the governor of their total support for the present administration.
