Kogi Governor Captain Idris Wada Flagg-off road construction

The Kogi state Governor, Captain Idris Wada has flagged-off the construction of Ward A roads in Lokoja at the cost of N632.7 Million naira expected to be completed within eight months.

Flagging-off the project over the weekend, Captain Wada noted that he is determined to embark on massive road development programme this year stressing that his administration will encourage the development of existing roads/maintenance to have long term value.

He said that five township roads across the state of which Lokoja Ward A road is one of them will be rehabilitated or constructed.

The governor mentioned that the Ageva-Ogori roads have been completed already as he assured that he will ensure quality job at all times in road rehabilitation.

He also disclosed that works is still going on at Kabba township road and also at Okura and Okaba. A cording to him, Otukpo road in Ankpa local government council of the state have been completed as he added within resources available his administration will focus on viable roads that have direct impact,

Captain Wada urged the contractors to work according to he contract and also ensure to deliver on schedule as government will give attention to major roads within our net work towns.

He also mentioned that works will soon commence at Lokoja-Eggan and Buddan road which he said will be completed at stipulated period as he warned that government will not tolerate shoddy jobs but will only compromise quality.
