GOLDEN EAGLETS VICTORY: KOGI GOV. CAPT. IDRIS WADA REACTS.


The Governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris Wada was one of the earliest Nigerians to congratulate President Goodluck Jonathan, the Nigerian Under Seventeen team, The Eaglets and all Nigerians over the routing victory of the junior National Team at the just concluded world football competition in Dubai, United Arab Emirate.

 In a Press Statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy Mr. Jacob Edi, the Kogi helmsman commended the players and noted that their performance is a moral booster and further confirmation of the 'can do spirit' of an average Nigerian. The governor described the 3-0 Victory over Mexico as a deliberate demonstration of the supremacy of the nigerian side over their rivals. ''Once beaten twice shy, goes an ancient saying. Our second and final victory over the Mexicans shows that the first was not a mistake but the result of painstaking preparation and better skills' says the statement
Captain. Wada called on all Nigerians to continue in the spirit of oneness and unity of purpose that characterized the tournament and urged politicians to borrow a leaf from the competition by imbibing the spirit of sportsmanship in their quest for power.
