Gov Wada set up committee to look into Merginalisation in Kogi

The Deputy Governor of Kogi state Architect Yomi Awoniyi has been appointed to head a committee to look into the various areas of oppression raised by Okun speaking people from Kogi West. 

The Governor of Kogi state, Captain Idris Wada made this known when Okun Development Association led by the former Minister of Health, Dr. Eyitayo Lambo and other prominent people from the area paid him a courtesy called on Tuesday. at Government House Lokoja.

We are aware of a clamor by a disgruntle group by the name Justice and Good Governance in kogi state led by one Umar Goodman Akwu  and One Sunday Ayodele whose identity is not verifiable. Calling for another fresh election while the incumbent governor tenure has notexpired. This is travesty of justice and open expression of ignorance of the ethic of democracy.

Changing Times in Kogi State

Life is changing for the better in Kogi State.  the government is opening up the rural areas through the construction of feeder and major roads to link communities and major towns in the State.

 

The residents are happy at this development; so also is Capt. Idris Wada, the State Governor who while flagging off the construction of the 16km Otokiti - Ganaja bye pass road recently, said it was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to the people.  For Governor Idris Wada, his idea of providing roads linking villages, local Government and other major towns in the State is basically to open up the State to economic opportunities.

CAPTAIN WADA FLAGG OFF ROAD CONSTRUCTION IN EGBE

The Kogi state Governor, Captain Idris Wada has flagged of the construction of Egbe township roads at the cost of N415,184,686.88 over the weekend.

The Governor also commissioned ECWA Hospital Egbe same day.

ALGON boss warn politician against politics of bitterness,hatred

The chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, (ALGON), Aloysius Okino has stressed the need for Nigerians to shun politics of hatred and bitterness, saying that no development can thrive in such condition.

Okino who is also the chairman of Ajaokuta LGA, stated this in his office in Adogo, when the Peoples Democratic Party,(PDP) forum Ajaokuta district, paid him a visit in his office.
